Yes part exchanged two of my spare windsurf boards and put them against a 9m Rebel, Flew it yesterday at seaburn turns totally different to the DNA will take a bit of getting use to. Good day at Seaburn until my safety fired for unknown reasons on my 12m. Which followed with a 25min swim got back with kite in one piece with 4 members of RNLI coming out to offer help, a tad embarrassing and not good for the ego, but good to know they were about.

Whats your view's about pack downs, on a couple of occasions when i have had a swim I have not bothered just left kite leash attached and swam ashore. Yesterday the wind was cross and slightly on shore, with the hazards of rocks and disappearing beach down wind, I swam across the wind to then beach. If I could safely make up the lines I would have been blown ashore downwind. My concerns are always getting wrapped up in lines, looks easy enough on videos but its flat water in light winds nothing like our normal conditions. With the kite 25m away its not a problem of getting tangled it also means there's less chance of the lines damaging the kite.

I understand different conditions would dictate your actions but just wondered on your thoughts?

Hey Andy. Last and only time I did a pack down was on my lessons 4 years ago, I've had plenty of swims in since then and even started to attempt some packdowns but I've always found by the time I get anywhere near having one line wrapped on the bar I've been dragged to the beach anyway. I tend not to try anything risky too far out from the beach though. I can't remember seeing anyone else ever doing one either, except like you said, on those lovely flat clam seas in the videos.

The rebel does take some getting use to after Airush doesn't it. Mint kite though when you get there.

Bump, would now accept £300 for this kite before I advertise on E-bay. This is perfect kite for learning and with masses of depower, and a gradual controlled increase in pull when making those first turns, Also gets good write ups for use in the waves, due to the fact you can dump the power so easy when surfing the waves.

Bump, would look for £300 with a Dakine Storm seat harness like new used 4 times a bit big when I bought it so went back to windsurfing harness I use. This would be perfect kit for thoses looking to start up without blowing a budget.

You wouldn,t be dissapointed kites cracking condition pics provided
