2012 kite prices........

Postby jamie501 on Tue Aug 02, 2011 9:04 am

just saw the prices of the new 2012 cabrinha kites  £1300 for a 7m and £1450 for the 11 xbow.
http://www.s2as.com/p-Cabrinha_Crossbow ... -5807.aspx

lets hope all kites for 2012 arent this high.

just out of curiosity, heres a question for the people who buy new kites. if you really liked a kite would you pay £1200+ for a 7m ?

400 is cheap  the new north Gold bar is going to be £500  but its worth it because the lines are gold and that gives you cool points at the beach...........well until the gold turns a horrible brown colour after a couple of weeks.

loos like north prices are up from last year aswell
http://www.surfstore.co.uk/north-rebel-2012-p-2602.html
11m rebel £1335 complete with standard bar. add and extra £175 for the gold bar.

so thats cab, north , naish with ridiculous prices. my money says the rest of the 2012 kites from other bigger brands will be the same price as these.

Thats just silly hopefully some of them will be sensible with prices like flexifoil have this year. Its not like they have invented something completely new either they are just developing previous years gear, I know manufacturing costs will be higher but most of them are made in cheap countries. For me they should be getting cheaper as more people get into the sport and buy new equipment

Awesome kites, good prices and supporting a British company... doesn't get much better than that :)

If anyone is looking at kite prices and thinking "how the hell do I afford to get into this crazy game?" my 2007 vapor is finally going to be replaced. It's a bit battered so it's going to be fairly cheap, but it's definately fun and functioning gear. I'm still using it , I've just decided to treat myself to something new. I'll pop something in the for sale section on here before I advertise anywhere else.
