Algarve Offroad

I've not long been over to this place, it was absolutely superb. No messing, straight in at the deep end, a very quick learning curve but once you get the hang of it, loads of fun. I'm not kidding when I say this, I rode race bikes for over 10 years on road and tracks all over the UK, this was the most fun I've had on 2 wheels ever. So much so, we're going again next year.

If you like extreme stuff this will be right up your street, you don't need to be a motorcross racer, just a good idea how to ride a bike, the guy who runs this will give you the basics and once you have confidence in the bike, away you go. You do need a fairly reasonable level of fitness as this is not easy going. A good challenge and definitely worth a look for anyone with an interest in bikes.

Have a look on the You Tube link, it pretty much sums it up. Flights, Accommodation, transfers, bike hire, (either KTM 550 or Husaberg 550) lunch, fuel and a coupla beers, all in, 450 GBP. Bargain.

When are you going again ? could fancy it myself. Do you have an offroad bike then, have a KTM 200 for using off road but really struggling to find places to ride these days.

Nah don't own a bike in the UK anymore, sold all my road / race gear about 18 months ago, got my offroad gear and get my kicks once a year out there, total freedom, no gates to open or close, no tosspots from the rambling society moaning about a minute piece of land in the UK that has tyres tracks in it, those clowns are in desperate need of a good wedgie....don't get me started..! :x
