Looking for some advice.......has anyone out there ridden both these kites? I have a 10m Taboo on demo at the moment, but was wanting some info and advice on how the Taboo compares with the Kahoona V3? I ride regularly in winds ranging from 14 or 15 knots up to 35ish+++ i would say i ride mostly freeride, with some freestlye, but this year i am wanting to focus on and get more into the waves. Now i appreciate the kahoona is more of a wave kite, but am under the impression that the taboo is more of a broad spectrum kite.

Now the rides i have had on the 10m i have on demo, have been awesome, really enjoyed it and looked forward to riding it again. But like i said would appreciate any advice and comments from people who have had the oppurtunity to ride both.

Haven't flown the Taboo yet, but the Kahoona 11.5m and 7.5 V1 were awesome. They covered everything I wanted to do in waves and in flat water. Boost and hang time was huge, very stable and very quick to relaunch.

The 2009 Kahoona's were a little handful once over-powered but still manageable, however I have been reading that this has been solved in the V3's with a more stable up limit.

I had a 2009 11.5 and 7.5 and 2010 5.5m (still got the 5.5m) and that covered me from 14mph up to 45mph. I can fly the 5.5m in low 20mph wind and I am powered up with the kite parked.

Definitely my recommendation although I changed because I was sick of the redline bar falling apart – seems to be the case with every bar I get now
