BKSA Kitesurfing Instructor in the North East

Postby CraigT on Thu May 14, 2009 9:01 am

I spent yesterday up at Bamburgh with Kev Anderson and had a great day. I had done a few hours tuition abroad so had the basics on land but I wanted to recap with Kev then get him to get me up and surfing in the water. I also wanted to learn about the locations and how to read the wind charts on the net so I can get the best out of the weather with the kites I’ve just bought.

I learnt a lot and got in the water in the afternoon, I swallowed a lot of sea water and burnt my head but…very, very nearly got up and surfing!! My kite control has improved a lot so with a little more wind and practice, I should be away. I can’t wait to get back in the water and keep practicing.

Thanks again Kev and I hope to see you up the coast so I can pester you for loads of advice. I might even do another day mid week as the experience I got with you really boosted my confidence.

I would not hesitate to recommend him as an instructor, all his gear is brand new and his instruction is clear and simple. Find him at…
