An excellent weekend despite the wind not showing. A good laugh was had throughout the day which of course following onto the brilliant well prepared BBQ thanks to Rory, or should I say.....Daffyd Thomas, the only gay in the camp  .

For those people who don't know, Ali G (John Hogg) won the best costume with the majority vote meaning that he will be the proud owner of a 2011 Dakine Pyro waist harness courtesy of S2AS.

I must say, it was rather embarrassing walking across a busy beach, full of kids whilst dressed as Santa Claus. But it was funny when someone said "You must be walking off your hangover......" hahahaha

I will be getting the pictures together this week so watch this space for some funny pics.

Organising this event was hard work, don't get me wrong but, I am more than happy to organise another one. For the people who thanked myself, Rory or Joe, your comments were greatly appreciated.

Thanks for coming guys (Although the wind was showing at chemworks  )

Aye great fun even though we were beached most of the day. quite a few people for the BBQ and the camp-over with some excellent craic.
Thanks for all the hard work in setting it up guys - I'd definitely attend another one.

With all the hard work that went in to organising and reorganising to catch the wind, there may be some benefit in sussing out a 'have kite - will travel' weekend so we can grab the best wind, although organising a random campsite at the last minute may be tricky.

Then again, theres no better backdrop than Budle Bay with the cows and sheep and electric fences ;-)

Thanks again guys,

Simon.

yeah, it was a great craic & would have been perfect if the wind had showed up properly... big thanks to Craig T for the lend of his barn door, I had a cracking little session on my 14m and almost got the board all the way upwind to where Craig's kites where... before the wind died and I got stuck on th wrong side of the bay  , sorry Craig!

bbq was a pleasure, glad everyone liked the meat; all local and very tasty! Was partly sponsered by Moorhouse Farm shop in Stannington as they gave me a cracking discount on the meat.

I am deffo up for another one in the future!
