has anyone got any experience of working with fiberglass ?

ive been reading a thread on kitecrowd about skimboards and im going to attempt to make my own

so does anyone have any tips ? or know anywhere online that has some good how-to guides ?

going for a foam core with wooden stringer, but im just a bit confused about the glassing part and what I actually need to buy

oh and does anyone know how to colour fiberglass. because it needs to look good just incase it rides crap

The guys at East Coast are freindly ( I tried to sell them a machine last year) I would just call in and tell them what your going to try and do. As well as selling all the gear they have a factory making all kinds of stuff out of fibreglass so they will have all the answers.

hey did you get a start on your board i know how to work fibreglass, im a mechanic but i have done some fibreglassing before too its not that hard i need a board too so if you havnt started i could help you out with the cost of the materials for both of us .. let me know
