I'm wondering if any of you have been to albufeira in portugal to kitesurf ?, Ive heard alot of good things about the place but my question is, does anyone know of any place where they rent gear ? theres 5 of us going and if we take our own gear the price of the exra weight is going to cost the price of the entire trip again !!.
if anyone as even been abroad before to kitesurf any advice is much appreciated
we have been to fuerteventura before and rented from flag beach but we kind of got lucky there.

Taken my gear abroad before and if your clever it'll only cost you £20 each way, most airlines will take golf bags at special rates and you normally get 20kg of allowance for them maybe worth checking with airline that your going with first. Visited tarifa whilst on hols before and couldnt find anywhere to rent gear the only way they would do it was by taking a lesson price which was approx 80 euros for a day, but information will be available somewhere on the net

If you go with Thomas Cook, take the extra sport allowance. Costs an extra £20 each way. This gives you a limit of 31 or 32kg!!

I was there 3 years ago never see anyone kitesurfing or surfing there
I took a 3m foil kite just to mess around with on the beach ,but i never got it in the air
because the beaches are very busy
It might of all changed but I doubt it
