surfstore stocks them i was thinking of one a while ago
they reckon when you blow them up they look and feel like a real board
think they are good in flat water but maybe not as good as a proper one in the waves ,but you can use them in waves

I've not tried one but they look good and you can't damage them, I've seen a vid where someone drives over one a a car! Don't know about punctures they must be mega thick. I've just bought a 10x34 Starboard Whopper for similar money but you need a roof rack, and a bag to protect it and it will get dinged when the kids are riving it throught the dunes in the summer but its better than sitting on the beach :D
All the gear, no idea.

I rode one of these for about an hour out in NZ and it was wicked.

I was out in about 5 ft swell and managed to paddle out the back but didn't managed to catch any waves...couldn't stand up for long enough :D

There were loads of other kiwi guys who were riding the RED inflatable SUP's and catching loads of waves and looked to be having an awesome time, so they do perform pretty well in the waves.

I was dead impressed and will get one when i can afford it!

cool, they sound great.

Once ive got an idea in my head ive just got to get one haha

they are quite pricey however, The way im looking at it is. I will probably have it for a couple of years atleast and im down the beach nearly everday during the summer so im pretty sure it will get some/alot use. and the best thing about it is the resale value, after doing a bit of research you loose about 25-30% after a couple of years. so It will have cost about 170 for two years which I think is excellent value considering how many wasted days, sitting waiting for a sea breeze, it is going to save.

(well thats how im justifying the price to myself haha :D )

ill hopefully have one by the budle weekend so ill bring it up for people to have a go on, just need to go and visit the bank of grandma now haha

Well ive had two sessions on the sup now and im loving it. Definitely money well spent im pretty sure il clock uo more SUP sessions than kite this year especially if the wind carrys on the way its going. I showed my mam and dad it for the first time today and after standing on it on the beach they didnt believe me when I said its inflatable haha I had to show them the valve so they would believe me. its pretty easy to pump it to about 17-18 psi and takes under 5 mins.

one thing I will say is its bloody hard work paddling over waves into a 12knt headwind for 3 hours.I havent been this knackerd in ages.

If anyone wants to have a go let me know.

I would love to have a go Jamie. I've been thinking about it for a long time as I'm seeing more and more guys out on them when I'm just normal surfing. For me it would never take over surfing but would open up a few spots that would work better with a SUP than a surfboard.
