Inland surfing

Hi
Sorry for my ignorance but im a noob who’s been kitesurfing for only a year and was wondering wile we are waiting for the wind to change direction is it possible to surf on a lake or something and if so do you no of any. Thanks Martin

You will have to check who owns the lake and then see if kitesurfing is allowed. kitesurfing inland probably wont be too pleasant as the wind will be more often than not, very very gusty.

my advice would be to go to a beach that works on whatever direction it is.

where do you live ?

in the north east youve got a couple of options for westerly winds paddies at redcar and then theres Budle bay in northumberland. or you could always have a drive to the west coast ?

on the main page of this website you will find a location guide.......put in the wind dfirection and it will tell you which beaches will work in that direction :wink:
