Try pulling in on the bar to tighten the rear lines during the turn. This will make the kite turn faster and more responsive. However, you don't want to keep the bar pulled in when it's flying through the window, ease out a bit other wise you can choke it. So, pull in for quick turn, then ease out just after it's finished the turn. :D

Check your line lengths - each line should be exactly the same length as its pair i.e. both front lines equal and both rear lines equal.
Apparently its last words before being battered and fried were… "at least it auto zeniths… ouch". Lazydog.

hi sounds to me that yer back lines were to slack I was at budle sat and wind was typical budle up n down 20-25 mph ! If you move the back lines up a knot or 2 on the rear pig tails then trim it on the depower strap!
hope this makes sense!!
cheers

i was up with sandy at budle when he was having problems.
both myself and andrew mc tried to play around with the setup on the knots and andrew had a go with the kite it just wasn't responding well to bar input, now neither of us are experts but we can ride and even andy was having trouble getting going, the kite would take ages to turn from 12 o-clock and then when it did, it dived rapidly through the power zone and nearly ripped his arms off, it seems very slow to respond now i don't know if this is a problem with the design or whether the setup isn't quite right any advice would be great
cheers

This month's Kiteworld has a step by step procedure on checking and setting up your lines. Photos in there too.
Have a shufty to the 'All the Gear - No idea' section near the back., just a few pages before Aaron Hadlow's tips how to do the running launch from the beach. (This looks the business like...!)

That's a long time for a kite to respond. 5th to 15th April. That must be a record for the slowest kite  No wonder your not getting anywhere.

not sure if its just slow to fly or in need of higher wind than we were out in mate, just seems like it doesn't want to actually fly and would prefer to be on the ground, very strange responses to bar input
