im guessing you mean in the uk?

the wind is gernerally going to be pretty gusty when kitesurfing on inland lakes, I think theres a lake in the lake district where you can kitesurf , I think jimmy went a couple of years ago but theres a 10knt speed limit

Things might of changed now as im sure i heard somehwre that they are making the windsurfers use green sails to be able to windsurf on certain lakes in the lake district.

Are you just looking for somewhere with flat water because if thats the case then theres a few options a bit closer to home

Ive kited quite a few inland spots, but not all of them would be kite friendly. Acess can be a big issue, and its difficult to disguise your presence with a big kite 25m in the air. Ive not found gusty winds too much of an issue, but then I`m used to Paddies on a SW!

i spoke to the man in charge of derwent water a few years back at the sailing club and he said we could kite there as long as we had insurance and paid day membership about £15 but we had to launch where the poledancers launched and land back at the same place .
the launch was a bit rocky but if there was a couple of you you could launch each other and there is always a rescue boat on the water .
also its normally windy as wind comes down the valley .
i never kited it because i get bored on flat water
but would prob give it a go if a few of us went up
