Line Prices!

Postby nekitesu on Sun Nov 21, 2010 2:09 pm

I was bored last night and had a browse on a few kitesurf shops. One thing I couldn't believe was the price of kite lines.

£154 for 4 20m lines    . It really shows how cheap all the other bar components when a bar is approx £200-300 complete.

I know you don't have to pay £154 but I was still shocked. There is a guy on EBay that is making his own lines and I bought some extensions from him a couple of weeks ago. The quality is very impressive, strength rating is the same and I would struggle to tell them apart and at £50 you cannot argue - that is as long as they last!

I was looking at these on EBay recently James, have you bought any yet, if so what are your thoughts on them, decent price, S'store prices of £62 for 4 x 20m Airush lines, to be used for my 9m Trix, or £100 ish for 25m's.
Piece of mind when you're out there and all that...

I bought some 5m line extensions. I'm impressed with how they look. I haven't tried them out yet though!
