Anyway, I did get out at Blyth both days at around 4pm, which seemed to coincide with the wind dropping from the regular 15-20 mph stuff that North Winds was showing to a measly 11-14 mph!
I've had the 15m Waroo for a while now and I love it. It's huge and I'm not going to say it's quick etc etc but it's the quickest big kite I've ever owned and takes very little wind to get me going. It requires a bit of technique to get the most out of it in the light winds (i.e. sheet in on the turn then let out as it crosses the window) but it's great in the light stuff.
The thing I'm most impressed with is the Crazy Fly Pro Light wind 145x48. I've owned a ton of boards that work (or are supposed to work) well in light winds, the airush exile, crazy fly lightwind (like the flysurfer door), Airush converse 6ft 2", North Rocket fish and now the Crazy Fly Pro Light wind and the Pro kicks them all into touch. Never before have I been out in such light winds with the kite parked and just cruising along pretty powered up. I wasn't even working the kite! It was just a case of point and go. After building up apparent wind I was able to backloop, perform small but floaty jumps and even some underpowered kiteloops and above all, staying upwind in the worst winds ever. I'm so happy with it as you can probably guess
There were quite a few others out that day (Paul Gill, Roly etc) and all were struggling so they can vouch for it.
I hope you all got to Beadnell etc this weekend as it looked like it could have been awesome, certainly no need for light wind boards
James
