I have been a land boarder for 2 years ,and riding on water for about a year now, happily flying up wind and starting to jump with a few 'tricks' grabs and hooked in rotations on the wee old twinny. as well as getting going on my surf board , upwind as well as 60-40 on gyebing but really loving this side of kite surfing especially when at uni on in Cornwall only done this with 12 . my kites so far are a 10 m vegas07 that is on loan (bit off a hand full ) but really like the powered feel and jumps really nicely, although scares me at times ,has a small wind range and has allot of bar pressure and after a hour or so i need a break , 12m atom 08, love it good wind range and good on the surf board , not as powered feeling riding, and doesn't pop amazingly .

basically the Vegas is not great apart from a 5 knot window on flat water and i am in waves 80 % of the time
top end 400 kite only, or i have a 2011 set of north bar and lines that can go to bump up complete price to 500 wish

so far i have looked at ,
pd4 10m , good kite with that c feel but dunno if it might be a hand full on the surf board

Mutiny F Series 9m , light bar don't know whether i will like this should be good for surf board and will be better for a 2 kite quiver

ozone 2010 c4 9m , bit of all rounder c , vage reviews

Comes in either a 9 or 10m.

Great all round kite. Jumps to the moon, massive wind range, instant relaunch, excellent in both flat water and waves. Top notch build quality as well plus the Slingshot comp stick is probably one of the best around.

Would never go past Slingshot now....WEAPONS OF THE UPRISING!

SLingshot RPM is a really good 'do everything' kite aswell. May pick up a bargain on a new 2011 as the 2012 kites have just been launched.

Got to agree Slingshot is nice gear. I havent tried the Rally yet But i had a go on Darrens RPM and was well impressed. Was also realy impressed with the Epic Renegades too - You should see Craig for a Demo. I do still love my Ocean Rodeo Rise 10m
