Opinions Please

Postby CFVANDAN on Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:52 pm

I am sick of missing sessions when it realy blows so need to add a small kite to my quiver. Its probably gonna be my least used kite so im gonna keep my eyes peeled for a second hand bargain 08 or 09 kite
Just not sure what size will be best (7m or 8m) or what was good a couple of years ago.

I have a 14m OR Rise, and a Flexi Ion3 10.5m

I am pushing 16st so am often on a bigger kite than most. I am riding a 134x44 twin tip.

Any Advice?

Cheers :D

it is going to be you least used kite so id say just get something cheap, 4 line so you can fly it on your current bar,
7m or 8m ? well either will be fine, just wait to see what comes up for sale. you should be able to take your 10 up to 30knts so a 7m/8m will have a good overlap.

nearly all kites where good from 07 onwards so youve got loads of choice. but id look for something that is stable in gusty conditions because once it gets windy enough for you to drop down to a 7m/8m then its going to be gusty. unless we magically start getting steady 30knt days haha

ill keep my eye out and if I see anything ill post up the link

2010 5.5m Kahoona enough said

Massive wind range (20 - 45mph) and can be used on any 4 line bar as long as the lines are the same length. To be honest, I have never found the top end yet but have been out in 35-45mph and was flying - but in control!!

I am sure airbossworld are selling them new for £300

its an 06 yarga youve got isnt it ?
well its basicly a full on c-kite, will be fine aslong as the wind isnt mega gusty, and you are willing to use youre edge to control speed rather than just being able to sheet out to kill the power.

btw for people who dont know im not realy in a tribute band, dave just recckons I look like one of the proclaimers......well two of them because there twins :D
