Paddies or Chem works this weekend??

Postby dwhite468 on Fri Aug 12, 2011 6:26 pm

Hi

Bit of a newbe to NE kitesurfing, is anyone going to be heading to Paddies / Chem works this weekend? I'm no expert but the forecast looks like there might be some wind down there?? I'll be coming from Sheffield and have never been to either of the above so I could do with a few pointers on the hazards?

Hopefully see some of you down there if the wind is good?

Cheers

for today paddies at redcar will be your best/safest option.

Try and get there at around low tide, so you can see where the old shipwreck is and also it leaves you plenty of room to set up and launch.
at High Tide there isnt much room at all to land and launch unless there is someone there to help.

im sure there will be a few locals there today so have a chat to them and they will give you some pointers

ive got loads of stuff to do today so wont be able to get to paddies today, but might be heading down the chem works at HT for an hour on the lagoon. anyone else free ?
