Heading to Seal Sands for 0900hrs should be spot on for beginners.

Might be down a little later in the morning - had a nosey today, not enough wind and was offshore anyway - nice waves though :twisted: but maybe not too good if your only learning.

was it high or low tide you checked as waves would be a problem

Was about 2 hours before high tide - if you want good conditions for learning at Seal Sands (chem works), this week has very good tides for the lagoon there Mon-Thursday from 4.30 onwards. - knee high, flat water - just pray for wind! - This weekend looks like a wash out :(
