Looks like we got some decent wind coming finally!!!

Wednesday through to Monday lookin like it is gonna be good and strong, maybe a wee bit gusty......but hey we are living on the east coast!!!!

Still no sign of them northerly's yet.........but we are waiting,,,,,,,

Anyone gonna be out this week then? High tides are around mid to late afternoon, so we got all day to play, no swell initially for the first couple of days, so paddies should be nice and flat. Lookin like SW mostly, but maybe a bit more S sometimes, so mayeb hit chem works if it does.

Well for a SW and local, it really paddies, paddies and maybe chem wrks! So we can take our pick really!!!!

Gonna hed down beach for around 10am tomorrow. Probably paddies first to see what it is like and make decision from there.

Well.......the words......bit shitty spring to mind!!!!

the usual for paddies i guess, but fun none the less. was blowing about 20-25kts and sometimes a little more. there was 2 others out, one on a 13.5m and one on a 17m ozone!!!! couldn't believe it. i was struggling at times to hold my 11.5m down.

was only out for about and hour and half, tide came in pretty quick and was fed up with the gusts by then!

Hoping tomorrow will be better........lookin like small kite weather too, so Boo-ya-motha-fa!!!

Anyone else out tomorrow or friday?

How gusty was it today Ross?

Not sure what to do tomorrow if i am not working. Forecasting ssw winds tomorrow which will no doubt be even worse than today in terms of gusts.

It was gusty, like paddies is! But it was ok at points for a while, and there was a couple of shadows from the buildings over in the ship yard, but bearable and expected. Could have doen with a bit more west in it like to smooth it out a little.

Most forecast for tomorrow are saying SW, metoffice is saying SSW like, but we will have to see in the morning. Where and when were u thinkin andrew?

I am planning to go down earlier tomorrow, maybe for about 9am, to get some more of the low to mid tide time. High tide is about 2.30pm, so i will be doen by then. Was pretty crap today once the tide was in.

there might be a better option andrew,
5.4m tide tomorrow so the lagoon at the chem works will be filling. 2.24pm HT but should start filling about 1.30ish. SSW-SW is the best direction to ride the full length of the lagoon, wont be as gusty as paddies (its still got west in it so wont be smooth by any means)

shame im at work, shit!!!

also if it ends up SSW it will be x-off on the main beach but we ride that direction quite alot and its fine because you have the protection of the break water if anything goes wrong you'll end up there.

every time i have been over for that lagoon filling jamie on a HT that u have promised, it has not even got my toes wet!!!!

I think in all the years ive been using the chem works ive probably got it wrong 3 or 4 times and that was because its only been a 5.2 and really strong wind so the wind blew the water away from the channel. and even one of those times we still got on the water albeit we where riding in something the size of a garden pond, taking turns on a couple of kites

tomorow is a 5.4 but dont take my word for it that it will fill but I know where id be going if I wasent working

Forgot about the tide!

Ross, I cannot leave the house until 9am as I could get a phone call up until then to go to work. That would mean getting to redcar for about 10.30am if i were to leave at 9am on the dot. Not sure if it is worth driving all that way for a couple of hours before the paddies tide races in. Plus it will no doubt be gusty.com. I am thinking about just leaving it but ill wait and see what the wind is doing tomorrow.

Jamie, If its looking good i might head to the chemworks but then again might just leave it until the weekend now. I hate SW and SSW in the winter months

Busy Friday afternoon/evening so again, not worth the drive after I leave at 9am.

Keen for early doors if other people are out
