Hi,

Got a week off in August and thinking of trying to find some wind somewhere. Any thoughts on great spots to spend a few days? What's your favourite non-local spot?

Any suggestions appreciated.

I like Blackpool - Fleetwood rocks in the correct conditions. You cannot beat the North East coast for locations. However, doesn't look like there is going to be wind any time soon.....bloody high pressure!!

definitely tiree, class place, beach for every direction within 20 mins, excellent wind stats, flat water and waves, you can just about park on most of the beaches. perfect place.

only negative would be, its a bit of a drive and the then theres the 4 hour ferry but on the other hand the scenery is pretty good on the way up.
