Ross, I think I'm heading to Paddies. Guna try and get there before 10. If the forcast has changed and gone more north westerly I'll head over to Majuba beach but more likely I'll be at Paddies. I get the impression it's generally more beginner friendly and I've got a new kite which I havn't flow yet so i think Paddies is the safer option.

Yeah must have just. i got down to majuba about 1.30pm and stayed there to ride. it was pretty good like. wind was howling, ended up too much for my 11.5m and i had made an unwise decision not to take my 7.5m i thought it won't be that windy today, how wrong was i? lol it ended up are really good afternoon of kites, wind, sunshine and some nice kickers too!
How did you get on at paddies? what is your new kite? how you getting on? glad you had a good session and it was worth the trip for you!

I did see a kite in the air at Majuba when I was driving out actually, that must have been you. Like you say though it was blowing quite strong by that point. I was out on my new (second hand but new for for me) flexifoil ion 2 10.5m and that was well powered by the time i left. It was perfect day to get settled with a new kite though. It was light enough in the morning to get to grips with the new kite and test all the launching, landing and leashes etc.. About 11am it got a bit windier and I had best time on the water. I was so glad I made the trip down. I was doubting the descision when I was driving down because there was no wind at mine but i was glad i went in the end. Really bizzare location to kitesurf though, very interesting.

I'm moving down to uni in Sheffield tomorrow so it's now 2 hours to any coast. :( I think Majuba is 2 hours 10 mins! I know that sounds far but that will actually be one of my new kiting locations. :?
