I was wondering about where you could snowboard or snowkite in the Cheviots and I reckon it could be tricky as most of the ground is tussocky / covered in heather or generally lumpy. Not to mention the sheep, don't mess with a Chevot, they're rock hard.

A couple of possibilites could be either the section of Clenell St. north of Alwinton, some of the climb up to Windy Gyle from the south via The Street or an assault on Cheviot from the NE. It's a while since I was there though and wasn't really looking at it from a sliding perspective. The top of Cheviot is pretty full of holes and ruts in the peat from what I do remember.

Got any ideas?

Probably best to stick to something flat really.
