Beadnell is really good. It does pick up some big waves when its really windy but it all depends on the swell forecast and the wind. But within the waves the water can be really flat, and the shallows can also have some really flat water when the conditions are right - a little like the chemworks in terms of water conditions and waves.

Ill be at the caravan on Saturday which is at Budle so The Gare is a little to far to travel for me but ill be at Beadnell all day on Saturday if your coming up.

Here is a postcode for the campsite at Beadnell, which is on the main road.

NE67 5BX

A) If you’re coming up past chathill, the campsite will be on the corner of the junction into Beadnell. Turn right into Beadnell and you should be able to see an anchor on the grass on your left. Follow the road all way round for about 3/4 of a mile and you will come to a car park. The beach is over the dunes – There should be a tractor in the carpark, which is used for launching the boats

B) If your coming up through Bamburgh and Seahouses, you will pass the campsite on your right before you will reach the junction into Beadnell on your left. Take the second junction (Kind of like a fork junction with grass in the middle). You should be able to see an anchor on the grass on your left. The follow the road all way for about 3/4 of a mile and you will come to a car park. The beach is over the dunes – There should be a tractor in the carpark, which is used for launching the boats

Hope this helps

Cheers

Andrew, what time you thinking of going? also do you know if the sea breeze will help the predicted 15-16mph increase abit? sorry i'm not familier with that area and ive only got the one kite hoping to get a 5.5 v2 soon, fingers crossed for some kickers

Should be there for about 10ish.

Beadnell can be very on and off when it comes to sea breezes, as when it comes through it comes good and other times it never comes. Not sure about tomorrow, just have to wait and see. Should be more than enough for my 11.5m though.

The 5.5m v2 is an awesome kite. I have only had it out twice since getting it in March but that is due to the wind. 1st time I had it out the wind was about 35 to 41mph which was good but then dropped to mid 20's where surprisingly I could ride up wind and do some tricks. Second time I had it out was the other day where the wind was about 40mph, kite was really good and was a pleasure to fly. Mind I have never used any depower when using the 5.5m so I have no idea what the top end will be. 8) The kite is really really fast through the sky, which caught me out a few times when jumping and doing some transitions, but I soon got used to this and its a pleasure to fly when the wind is mental.

Hopefully see you tomorrow

Cheers
