Product Description

2-3 hour Powerkite Lesson (max of 4 people / class, min of 2 people). The length of time depending on the number of people on the course:

For people who want to enter the world of kitesurfing but have no previous kite flying experience. You will learn all aspects of power kite flying. Lesson includes site assessment, safety equipment set-up, pre checks, power management and emergency procedures.

Course Location: Courses typical run in the evenings (5.30 - 8.30) local to the Newcastle coastline.

N.B: Powerkiting lessons last 2-3 hours and occur in the evenings during the summer, Monday to Friday. In winter they also run at weekends. All powerkiting lessons run in the Newcastle area.

Powerkiting has been around for over 30 years, and in that time the sport has evolved quickly to become one of the most exhilarating sports there is! The powerkite course is a 2-3 hour course which NEKitesurfing recommend to people who are wishing to learn kitesurfing but have no previous power kite flying experience. This way, students will make the most of their time on a kitesurfing course having covered the principle skill of kitesurfing; flying a kite! The course includes:

Introduction to powerkiting (types of kites, lines, handles and bars)

Safety briefing

Flying site assessment

The Wind Window

2 / 4 line kite set up

Launching and Landing

Basic flying skills

Requirements:

Warm clothing and a jacket

Sensible footwear (walking shoes or boots)

Eye protection (sunglasses)

Prices:

2-3 hours = £40 / person. Maximum of 4 people.

What happens after you've paid for the course?

Once you've paid for the course through the online shop NEKitesurfing will email you all available course dates as well as a link to a booking form which needs to be downloaded, completed and sent back to us to secure your place.
